Facilities
Penruddock Village Hall is very well equipped, with our facilities including a reading room and a meeting room, as well as the main hall, and a fully furnished kitchen.
Reading Room
The reading room is located between the Main hall and the kitchen, and allows access to the toilet facilities, and the stairway leading up to the meeting room.
It is heated by two wall mounted Halogen units and lit by LED ceiling mounted LED batten lights.
Access and exit can be made to the reading room from the porch in front of the village hall.

Fire Detection Arrangements
All rooms and roof spaces are covered by smoke/heat detectors linked to a wall mounted control panel next to the exit door in the reading room, and fire extinguishers are located throughout the building. Emergency evacuation plans can be found on the reading room notice board and outside the upstairs meeting room.
The Penruddock village hall fire risk assessment states that the maximum capacity of the downstairs rooms total 160 persons, 100 in the main hall, and 60 in the reading room.
Main Hall
The main hall is an impressive 15.8 metres long, 6.6 metres wide, and 3.8 metres high.
It is fitted with ceiling sound absorption panels to reduce echo, with heating being provided by two air to air heaters.
Badminton plus Pickeball lines have been added to the floor. The court is slightly smaller than standard.
Main lighting consists of ceiling mounted ‘sports grade’ strip lighting.

Access and exit to the main hall is via double doors from the parking area outside, or through the adjoining reading room. A small amplifier and ceiling mounted speakers can provide audio or background music if required.
Ceiling mounted mood lighting can enhance the atmosphere of night time events. Modular self assembly staging is available for events that require a raised platform.
Meeting Room
The upstairs meeting room is a cosy venue with seating for up to twenty five persons. It is accessed from the reading room
The meeting room is lit by two ceiling mounted LED batten lights, and heated by a wall mounted convector heater and a portable fan heater.
